The Theresa Mine with the Mamiya C220

Vindicator Valley Trail outside of Victor, Colorado is a very special place. Walking the two mile loop brings visitors face-to-face with so many mining structures. The Southern Teller County Focus Group maintains the trail and has put up quite a few interpretive signs and benches dedicated friends of the trail.

In my opinion, the gem among these structures is the Theresa Mine. The current headframe-orehouse-combo was built in the 1930s to replace the previous structures which burned down. Visitors can walk right up to the building and look up at it. The mine also has two outbuldings that are still standing. One is a hoist house that visitors can actually walk into to see the hoists that ran the elevators and the control room with levers that one can still push and pull.

I visited the Theresa with my Mamiya C220 medium format twin-lens reflex camera. The film I used was Arista EDU Ultra 400.
